Training Season

Train Yourself to Be Godly

The enemy doesn’t fight fair. He is after us. Through distractions, he tries to move us away from our purpose and calling.

He uses our bodies to keep us hostage in pain and discomfort. He exploits our humanity—our emotions, feelings, actions, and reactions. He will go to any length to get his way.

But God—He has us. He is teaching us how to fight in the Spirit, seated in heavenly places with Christ. We take our fight to the third Heaven.

For the Word says, “God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms.” Our fight is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces, and “the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God.”

We carry within us the Word of God, which is a double-edged sword—penetrating the darkest and most hidden places of our being. It breaks down strongholds, false ideologies, and man-made traditions.

So, my friends, don’t lose faith. Outwardly we may be suffering, but inwardly we are being renewed and made strong. Do you really think it’s a coincidence that the enemy is attacking our muscles and nerves? We’ve struck a nerve in his camp, and now he’s angry. He’s coming after us.

Take  your stand. Be bold. Use what God has given you. Raise your war cry. Lift your hands and worship in the storm. Raise a hallelujah. Continue praying in the Spirit. Embrace your position in Christ.

Ask God what fruit of the Spirit He is developing in you. Mastered and used with precision.

Laugh at the enemy—for the joy of the Lord is your strength, and God Himself laughs at the enemy. God will use everything for His purpose. He will recycle your pain, sorrows, and discomfort for His glory.

This is training ground. This is our boot camp. Be ready. Hold your position, stand your groun, Keep the faith.

What is breaking you is also making you strong.

Love you,

Prayer saved Me.

 Dear Lord,

Help me from my own self. I have been held captive by my own insecurities and fears—prisoners of the past. Free, yet at the same time, living behind invisible bars that hold me back. But I know my firm foundation is in You. Help me to build, to expand my territory, and to help others—for Your glory.

As I look over my devotional notes, I came across this one from years past… 2016.

How scary it can be at times, especially when we don’t know where this journey will take us. But I know deep inside that the time is now.

“Today is the tomorrow I prayed for yesterday.”—8/26/18, the day He gave me that word.

No more holding back. No more dragging my feet. I will stand up and move forward in faith. What I received is not just for me, but to share with all of you. I pray that my journey to wholeness becomes your journey too, as we align ourselves with His will.

May the Lord of Heaven continue to bless you—today, tomorrow, and always.

In Jesus’ name, Amen

Prayer Never Gets Old 2016

“The Lord watches over you, the Lord is your shade at your right hand, the sun with no harm you by day nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all the harm. He will watch over your life. The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forever more” Psalms 121:5-8

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank you so much for always watching over me and my family. I remember the days when I could feel Your presence so clearly around me. I used to take time to seek you and I was able to notice you in everything I did. But as of lately, I have allowed the busyness of the day to rob our time together.

I’ve noticed a change in myself. What was normal for me, now it has become a repetition or a habit. Procrastination has become my greatest ally.  Multitasking had crippled my day. Jealousy lurks deep inside my heart—I can sense it at times.

Please help me, Heavenly Father. I want to feel You all around me again. Let Your Spirit guide me and direct me. Protect me from myself.  If I don't keep watch I could become my worst enemy and end up sabotaging myself.

In Jesus' name, I pray Amen

Unchatter Territory

 Non-Mapped or Surveyed.

“If you let Me, I will take you through uncharted territory,” spoke the Lord into my heart as I walked near the waters.

You may have to walk through uneven paths, and at times, you may have to make your own way. Just because it looks familiar doesn’t mean you know where you’re going.

I may take you through familiar places—it’s easier for you to recognize the areas since you’ve been there before. But now, the time has come for you to help others find their way out, just as you did.

It’s not going to be easy—for fears, insecurities, and doubts will try to discourage you, to stop you, and to derail you.

But remember this:

“I am the One who called you, the Mighty One of Israel. I go ahead of you; I have prepared the way. I am your guardian, your guide, and your strength. I’ve got you”.

The Lord Himself holds you in His hands. You have been trained in the fires of affliction. Sorrows and disappointments have been your companions. The fear of the unknown tried to cloud your vision. You have learned how to recognize the counterfeit from the real—because I, the Lord your God, have personally trained you.

So, My child, don’t be afraid, for I am with you. I will protect you and guide you always. You will hear My voice behind you, saying, “This is the way—walk in it.”

When the enemy whispers in your ear, I will speak to your heart. Everything you need is already inside of you. So take your position, stand firm, and you will see the deliverance of the Lord.

All I ask is for your willingness and your “yes.”I will never leave you nor forsake you. I am with you until the end of the day. I have raised you for such a time as this. It is no mistake that you are here today.

Take heart, my sister—for the best is yet to come.

Reinforcement.

 Even Angels Need Reinforcement

Last night, I was awakened by a presence in my room. As I looked up, I saw a large, warrior-like man standing at the foot of my bed, gazing down at me as if studying me. When he noticed that I had seen him, he stepped back into the shadows. I felt no fear and soon drifted back to sleep.

What surprised me most was that I felt no fear. I asked the Lord, “What was that all about?”

He replied, “Even angels need reinforcement.”

As our conversation continued, I was reminded that during prayer, I had commanded the angels to go and protect what was mine—my daughter, my son, my family—claiming and testifying Isaiah 59:21” my spirit, who is on you, and my words that I have put in your mouth will not depart from your mouth or the mouth of your children, or from the mouth of their descendants from this time on and forever”, says the Lord.

The angel came, inquiring and intrigued to see, “Who is this mortal woman who dared to summon the heavenly host and called out for protection?”

So believe me, friends: God has assigned angels to watch over us at all times. I call them my Triple-A Angels—Angels All Around. They are at our disposal, ready to assist us in all that we need.

My angel Geloahs, needed help and called upon the big guy to come assist us. I call him Thunder because I know he moves swiftly and comes to my aid in times of need.

Do not take what I’m saying lightly, for it is written, “He has given His angels charge over you.” The time is now to put them to work. The angels are waiting for our request.

Thank you, Lord.

The Compass

Isaiah 30:21

“Whether you turn to the right or the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you saying, this is the way; walk in it “

COMPASS- an instrument containing a magnetized pointer that shows the direction of a magnetic north.

Today as I sit and ponder at what’s going on around me I get to see glimpses of a storm raging around us. It has lasted so long. Everything is dark. Fog has blinded our vision. The winds of incentives push us towards the wall. Losing grasp and footing I try to move forward. But I can’t. I feel my body giving up; I am getting tired, and I feel my body losing hope.

I don’t have the strength I need to move forward, but I also know I can’t stay stocked where I am.

I hear many voices. Everyone has a voice, something to say, something to add. Distractions have moved us away from our path.

And yet amid the storm, I hear a voice telling me what to do. It comes from deep inside my soul. Letting me know that I have the tools needed.

“Find your compass” I reach inside and there it is. For a short time, I had forgotten. I had gotten used to carrying around, knowing what I was doing. Everything looks so familiar.

But as darkness covers the earth, I need to keep my eyes closer to the compass. Today I know that God is my compass. “For when you go thru the waters they would not swipe you away when you go thru the fires you won’t get burn for the Lord himself goes with you“ (Isaiah 43)

He would always point North. And went we stand and raise our eyes upward; he is there to lead us.

“Your ears would hear a voice”, means that He is closed at hand. To hear closer to your ear means that we are very close in contact. So closed that He whispers “This is the way; walk in it.” And yet the noises of the world. The distractions. The ups and downs and disappointments don’t allow us to find the way.

Today as I sit here looking at the world around me I am confident to know God is my compass. No matter what’s taking place around me. I served a God who doesn’t lie. (Numbers) and I had learned to take him at His word. (Matthew)

No matter how difficult get out there. You were raised for this time. (Esther) if you are reading this post you are part of the remnants. (Ezra)

Hold on to your compass and don’t let go. The time is near. The time is now.

Love you all, and don’t lose grasp of what you have accomplished, and where you stand today.

No More Labels

Psalm 103:17

“From everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him.”

Today at the shelters was another miracle—being able to see and experience the love of God in action. That is something that always touches me; it never gets old.

God is waiting on our obedience and our willingness to bless someone else. Together, we accomplish more when we give from the little that we have.

Today, we touched on a very delicate topic: labels—the names they used to call us. Each one of the ladies received a little “Hello, my name is” sticker. They were asked to write what people used to call them.

I started with myself. I shared my list—the names I was once called:

Crazy. Good-for-nothing. Black sheep of the family.

You’ll never amount to anything.

You’re worthless.

You’re ugly.

You’re stupid.

A liar—just like your father.

I spoke from experience, from everything I’ve gone through and continue to go through. I’m still learning, and I’m in the same boat as they are. We’re all learning. It’s a journey, and we’re all still in the process of sanctification. None of us have arrived yet.

I once heard someone say, “The ground is level at the cross.”

Today was special. The women wrote the labels—the painful things they’d been called throughout life. Then we brought out little hearts, stars, and smiley face stickers. We began covering the labels that had come from family, friends, and husbands.

One of the girls wanted to read her label list aloud—and she did. As she spoke, the shame and guilt began to wash away. The Bible says we are overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. It was amazing to see this young woman speak from the heart the words that had once defined her.

She had been labeled:

Addict.

Slow.

Stupid.

Dumb.

Prostitute.

Crackhead.

Many more names were spoken.

By the time we were done, all the labels were covered with hearts, stars, and smiley faces.

Only God can do what He does.

We prayed with them and reminded them how to see themselves the way God sees them:

Loved.

Beautiful.

Blessed.

Gifted.

Unique.

Powerful.

Enough.

So many positive affirmations are found in the Word of God—when we give ourselves away.

You are not what they used to call you.

Find out who you are in Christ.

Only God can change us.

The Altar of Sacrifice

Here I kneel oh Lord. I don't have riches, don't have much to offer you but from what I have I bring forth my offering.

Let your purifying fire burn the excess of self-reliance, self-absorption.

Trying to help you instead of waiting for you.

Let me not light up the fire, but let your fire consume the altar of my heart. Teach me how to present myself as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing unto you. Becoming the billboard that shows forth the glory of God through me. A carrier of your glory.

Breaking down the old self-altar and rebuilding all new, with you at the center of all.

Here I am Lord once again. Purified my heart, my thoughts, my motives my actions, and my reactions. Help me to stay true to you. Don't allow distractions to move me away.

In Jesus' name, I pray, amen.
