What is your It
“David ran quickly towards the battle line to meet him. Reaching into his bag and taking
Out one stone, he slung it and struck the Philistine” 1 Samuel 17:48-49
David ran quickly (as moving at a speed faster than a walk, never having both or all the feet on the ground at the same time) he was ready, determine, done with all the insults, threat, jokes at his expense. He moved ahead toward the battle. he met the enemy at the enemies grounds. He step up to him with confidence, valor, strength and boldness. David didn’t wait, or try to find a way out, he pushed forward to confront him coming “face to face with it”. What is your IT today. It could be your fears, doubt, insecurity, procrastination. Not sure of self. This is my story today.
Reaching (stretch out an arm in order to touch or grasp something) in to his bag. He put his hand in side his bag, looking without looking, knowingly and confident in what he was carrying inside. It was personal, no one knew what was inside, he was the one in possession off the rocks.
David didn’t hesitate.
Today the Lord used this scripture to speak to my heart and to lead me forward on my journey. For those that know me, they know I struggle in the way I express myself on writing. For too long I had allowed that giant to taunt me with his insults. Waiting on my reaction and my actions. Freeze me unto not doing what is required off me which is writing.
Today I took the rocks inside my bag and I hit the giant on the forehead. I walked with determination toward my computer, pray and allowed the peace off God to lead me. I am the one carrying the bag over my shoulders. No one else, know what its inside; what I carried within myself. It may not be a big deal for some, but for me was a huge victory. Scare and nerves I was able to compose a business letter and send it out, (with the help of a proof reader), not one but 3 emails went out today.
The time has come for me to reach out and bring forth what is inside off me. Not just for me, but for others to see, that no matter how long you had been saved, we all struggle with something. The time is today, for you to work, be honest and find out what is the IT that is trying to delayed your journey. Derailed you from your purpose.
Hope this small devotion would help you. Free given, free to share, for as we shared from our experiences we allowed God to do the same in someone else life.💕💕🙏🙏🥷
